Adding components to a dashboard is performed in the same way for all three types of dashboards. You can add a component to a dashboard which is currently being created or edited. Multiple components can be added to a single dashboard at the same time.
To add a component to the dashboard:
- When creating a new dashboard, once the Dashboard Settings window has closed, the Component Navigator window will open automatically to select the components you wish to appear on the dashboard.
- Here you can use the search bar or the tree view to locate and select multiple components to add to your dashboard.
Note: You can hover over a component to view it's description and other details. - Once you have indicated the components you wish to appear on the dashboard, you can select OK. You will then be prompted to enter the dashboard component settings. If you have selected to create a master/detail dashboard, you can specify here which component is the master component by clicking (highlighting) the blue star to the left of each component listed to indicate the master component.
Here, you can also specify the position X/Y and Height/Width (in pixels) of each component on the dashboard. - Click OK and the dashboard will be created and the components placed on the dashboard as specified.
