Changing the Master Component

While viewing the dashboard you can opt to change the Master component.  This is a temporary change and the next time you open the dashboard it will revert to the original settings.

Example.  You would like to know the cost of printing certain types of application.  On the costs summary dashboard:

1. Locate the application component on the dashboard

2. Open the component menu by clicking on the cog wheel

3. Select the first option ‘Make Master’

4. Now select on of the applications to filter the dashboard and view costs

The example below shows how the dashboard has been filtered to show the cost of printing PDF documents using the Change Master feature.
