Not seeing the list of sources in a connection?

Please refer to the Creating Connections section for a detailed guide regarding connections.

To verify the connection's success, the info panel will display the titles of the tables or worksheets included in the connection, or display "Raw Data" for text files.

Note: Some 64-bit ODBC connections do not return a table list, however that does not prevent them from processing SQL statements.

If the tables/worksheets are not populating for you, you may need to:

  1. For an ODBC connection - provide authentication to the data source before information can be loaded into the software.
  2. For an excel spreadsheet - you may need to clear the formatting, which may be causing issues:

In some cases, saving the spreadsheet to a .xls format (instead of .xlsx) could also prove useful.
