FAQ
Parameter Tool - Setting up the URL parameter tool
The parameter tool comes as part of the standard Intuitive Dashboards installation. To utilise the tools it will first need to be set up to work with your dashboard installation. This process includes making changes to the config file to allow the tool to log users in using their GUID, entering the unique encryption key from the config file to the parameter tool and specifying the root URL of your dashboard installation.
Configuring the parameter tool:
- Access the dashboard configuration file (dashboard.config)
- If you want to pass a user identifier through the URL, set the option to allow login with user identifier to true
- If you want to encrypt the URL parameters, copy your unique encryption key from the configuration file
- Open up the URL parameter tool
- Select Configure
- Select Edit
- Specify Dashboard Root URL
- Enter encryption key copied from the config file
- Select Save
- Close down and re-open the URL parameter tool
