The three different dashboard types

Dashboards can be designed in three different ways. Each design defines a different relationship between the components within the dashboard. When drilling down or filtering the dashboard will behave differently depending on which dashboard type you are viewing.
 
There are three main dashboard types:

• Standard
• Master-Detail
• Parent-Child

On viewing a dashboard, the advice panel at the top of the screen will provide basic suggestions on usage.
