Selecting a dataset
To begin creating a component, a Dataset should first be selected. The Dataset contains all of the data that the component will be based on.
Creating multiple components from the same Dataset allows them to interact with each other. One example of this interaction is Master-Detail dashboards. Another example is Dashboard Filters which can be applied to multiple components simultaneously.
When creating a new component, the Dataset Navigator will open automatically. You will then be able to either search for the desired dataset using the search bar or by locating it in the tree view.
The selected Dataset will then be loaded into the component builder and the next step, Selecting a component type can begin.
Note: Only datasets created by the user or which have been published to groups the user is a member of will be shown here.
